Once when Anuj was very young, and studying in primary school, he started getting unbearable pain on the right hand side of the abdomen along with vomiting. All pathological test were pointing towards appendicitis. My cousin a paediatric surgeon also advised operation on the basis of the pathological tests. Such small children do not get appendicitis but there were rare cases. Dr Patkar called his paediatric surgeon friend at 10 in the night to check Anuj. Even he suggested that Anuj be admitted to his hospital and need to be operated. However Dr Patkar was still not convinced and when his friend left he told us that he would give Anuj one dose of his medicine which if Anuj throws out we will admit him immediately or else we need not. With God’s grace Anuj did not throw out the dose and was not admitted to the hospital and his pain vanished.
Today Anuj is 17 years old , and in good health.
